DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • Factory 2001-2007 exhaust systems are notorious for restrictive bends, choked mufflers, and power-robbing catalytic converters (on LLY/LBZ models).
  • Replaces everything from the downpipe to the tailpipe. This 4" straight pipe maximizes exhaust velocity to eliminate parasitic backpressure, drop EGTs, and unleash the raw, aggressive V8 diesel roar that early Duramax trucks are famous for.

Key Features

  • Premium T-409 Stainless Steel: Heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant, and built with smooth weld seams to withstand extreme heat.
  • Maximize Exhaust Velocity: True 4" uniform piping drops backpressure to near zero, which allows the engine to dump exhaust gases instantly for more horsepower and torque.
  • Unleash the True V8 Rumble: Deletes the sound-stifling stock muffler to unlock that deep, aggressive, and crisp V8 diesel roar and unmistakable turbo whistle.
  • Protect the Turbo & Engine: Creates an unobstructed, fast-flowing path to drop EGTs by up to 200°F. This prevents heat damage under heavy towing.

FAQ

Q: Will this fit my 2001-2004 LB7 truck?

A: Yes. This pipe fits all 01-07 Chevy/GMC Silverado 2500/3500 and Sierra HD with 6.6L Duramax LB7, LLY, and LBZ engines (Crew Cab Short Bed and Long Bed). It does NOT fit Cab & Chassis trucks.

Q: My LLY suffers from severe heat issues. Will this fix it?

A: Yes. The LLY engine restrictive factory catalytic converter traps immense heat right behind the turbo. This 4" straight pipe eliminates that restriction, drops exhaust temperatures rapidly, and helps protect your engine from head gasket failure.

Q: My LB7 never had a DPF or CAT from the factory. Why do I need this?

A: Even without a catalytic converter, stock LB7 pipes feature restrictive bends and a massive, choked muffler. This bottleneck restricts power once you add a tune or larger injectors.

Q: What is the difference between the 4" and 5" versions?

A: The 4" version retains excellent low-end torque and fits trucks with stock or mild tuning. The 5" version moves more exhaust volume at high RPM, which suits heavily modified trucks with upgraded turbos. For a daily driver or tow rig with a standard tune, the 4" is the ideal choice.
